the party is OVER!!

FINALLY!!!!!

We made it through the new year's eve party!! YEAH!!!!

For those of you that don't know what i'm talking about.. tito had this idea to do a new year's eve party for kids that didn't have anywhere to go or were tired of the same ol' same ol' every year and just do something cool and have a lot of fun!!!

When he first came up with this idea months ago I was like yeah yeah.. another one of his crazy ideas... and I really never thought that we would actually do it! But when we started talking about it more and like actually planning it, it seemed like a good idea.

YAH RIGHT!!

Okay so we might have forgotten about a little detail... yeah you see his family was here for christmas for 2 weeks and we really didn't get any work done in those 2 weeks.. that left us with unfinished stuff that we hadn't dealt with and ppl cancelling on us and just a MESS and last minute preparations and whatever else!! We tried to deal with as much stuff as we could this last week and even on the last day and this whole night.

It's not very cool when the bands that you were counting on call you like 2 days before the event and cancel and the youthgroups that were supposed to help out with workers and program and money call you and cancel too and you're left with hours of emptiness in the program and ppl telling you they're bored! To tell you the truth.. I didn't think anyone would even show up to the party cause the boys only passed out like 20 flyers and we didn't really promote it.. AT ALL! But I was wrong again!! We had about maybe 80 kids flow through the whole night and surprisingly we got help from other youthgroups still!! I was very very happy about that cause I thought it would be just me, tito, val and annely :p hehe.. but we were lucky! The room looked great but not as great as our table! :p our table was FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! Only tito can be so creative!! :) Well it wasn't really anything special but it just looked really cool with my american flag of course :D. Tito said that he saw all this in his had and it actually looked like he had pictured it! It was cool!!!

So overall we think it went well! Although there were moments were everybody was getting bored and we just didn't have any more stuff to do cause we didn't have enough time to plan anything else but that's okay! I liked it very much and I had fun! We tried not to annoy eachother at the rough hours staying awake and selling sodas and what not. I love him!!!! :)

I've always had little doubts about tito's ideas like how in the world they would work but I've learned to trust him and trust God in everything and whenever I think it's not gonna work it always will and so I've just learned not to worry cause it's gonna work no matter what my feelings are on this!

So when the morning came and the party was over and everybody left tito and I were stuck having to clean everything up ourselves so we took down the trashbag walls and put all the trash in the boxes and cleaned everything up nice and tight and when his dad came we loaded everything in the van and took off. We swore we would stay awake during the service but as soon as we got to his house we just knocked out on the sofa and ended up not going to church. I got home at around 10 and ran to my bedroom and fell asleep on the way. I WAS SOOOOOO TIRED!!!

So yes... it was a success and God helped us a lot! Thank you everyone that helped and supported and supplied!!!!!

If this blog didn't make any sense then that's prolly cause I'm still tired and also watching a movie and talking to my grandma on the phone and my dear fiance that I love so much on msn! Yes.. I'm darn gifted!! :)
